What I learnt this week

This week I learnt many things that I hopefully won't soon forget...
I learnt how to figure out the percentage of a number and how to figure out the number with the percentage.
I also learnt that in writing, planning is a very good thing to do- and to make it detailed so that you can just look at the plan and know what to write straight away. This week in writing I also learnt how to write a book report properly- with all the right orders and what the theme is in a story.
Chinese this week was also very helpful because we learnt how to say the things in our pencil cases like ruler is chizi and pen is bi (I hope I'm right), so now I can tell someone what's in my pencil case in Chinese.
In reading this week I was working on Tuitui Shampoo and I learnt what versatile means- the tuitui nut is vesatile because it has many uses. I also learnt how to find key words in a story and how to group them together and sort them out to get answers.
In spelling, I learnt how to spell words like bronchitis and diarrhoea, which don't really spell like they sound!
I think what I learnt this week was very important and I hope to use all this imformation in later life. ^.^

Science Preassessment

In Science, we have started a new unit called landforms. This is a preassessment. We had to choose a rock, then record a clip about its texture, size and how it got there.

HC and HR Chinese dialouge

In this video we had to have a conversation with each other in Chinese. I think I was a bit quiet but I wasn't too awkward. My telephone number went good but I have to work on my pronounciation and fluency more.

SAMS learner t-shirt

This is my t- shirt and this is why i chose to do it like this:
The fun is in bold colors because learning is supposed to be fun so I put red, orange and yellow in it which is bright and happy. The girl is thinking outside the box because that is what a SAMS thinker should do. The eye of the girl is enlarged because she is looking through a magnifying glass. She is being a SAMS explorer! I did her eye green because it is a bright color so it looks like she is all ready to learn. There is a watch because being a SAMS self-manager is all about being on time. The word 'learning' at the bottom of the shirt is in a sharp looking font because learning should be sharp and precise. The color is green- a happy color, because as well as being sharp and focused, learning should be enjoyable. Beside the girl is my books, because we wouldn't be learning much without books. I coloured it gold because books are golden and precious! For the SAMS communicator i drew the mouth talking and the ear listening. I also did social networking, like a computer and a cellphone. I did my background blue and white because they are the SAMS colors!!!

I think I was ok at saying my phone number.
I need to improve on my tones.
I didn't need the script too much but I was still struggling a bit to remember.
I want to be more fluent in my Chinese.
